Richard has a Commercial Pilot’s licence for helicopters as well as a degree in Business Management.

His early career was in the Royal Air Force as an air frame technician working on the VC-10 and other giant aircraft. During this time he was stationed at RAF Cosford, RAF Brize Norton and RAF St Athan.
